Hunters of the Hidden Dragons is an original story I created for my Studio II animation final. It follows the adventures of Isaac and his two older siblings as they track down all the dragons hiding around their town, curled up in the woodwork of cuckoo clocks or masquerading as icicles on their roof.
Even at only eight years old, Isaac is the leader of his siblings, unafraid of going first up a tree or into a creepy old attic. More mischievous than his sister and more fanciful than his brother, Isaac makes for a fearless and capable leader and warrior-- though he does sometimes needs help reaching things on the top shelf.
This facial animation test is of the moment when Isaac discovers a dragon hiding in a box in an abandoned attic. He doesn’t yet know if the dragon is innocuous or malefic, but he is still excited to discover a little more magic in the world.
For the project, I learned the process of designing, modelling, rigging, texturing, and animating an original character.
